The CNA license of a licensee in Nevada expires on his/her every second birthday. For the first renewal, you may have to renew your license in a period of less than 2 years, depending on the date of your birthday, in relation to the date your certification was issued. Question 1 – I don’t have an access to web/internet, so I am unable to renew my license/certificate online. Is there any other way to renew my license in NV?
Answer – You can use public libraries that allow access to the World Wide Web. Or else, you can call the nursing office at (888) 590-6726 and they will send you a paper application. After filling the form, you can return it back by fax or mail. These paper applications are generally processed within 1 business day of receipt.
Question 2 – I renewed my certificate, but I haven’t received the card. When will I receive it?
Answer – License cards are not issued by the state of Nevada. You can either verify your licensure status by calling the Board office at (888) 590-6726 or by using the web verification system of the state. You can also take a print out of your certificate while verifying it. As long as the verification system provided on the state website indicates the validity of your certificate, you can continue your practice.
