Candidates aspiring to become a CNA in the state of Virginia may find tremendous job opportunities, since there is a shortage of certified nursing assistants in VA. Nurse aide program program is the stepping-stone towards this rewarding profession. This program provides you the complete 120 hour program that also includes hands-on practices at several medical facilities. CNA classes in Virginia are approved by Virginia Board of Nursing. In order to become qualified for the certification examination, you must take an approved CNA program. The aspirants can get program at vocational schools, technical institutes, nursing homes, community colleges, etc.

CNA Program program usually takes 6-8 weeks to complete the 120 hours of coursework in the state of Virginia. The total hours are sub-divided for clinical program (40 hrs.) and classroom lectures (80 hrs.). Once a candidate completes the required hours, s/he becomes eligible for National Nursing Assistant Assessment Program (NNAAP).
