Candidates aspiring to become a CNA in the state of Virginia may find tremendous job opportunities, since there is a shortage of certified nursing assistants in VA. Nurse aide program program is the stepping-stone towards this rewarding profession.   • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • At the time of application, student is required to submit a fitness certificate acquired from the physician.
  • S/he should be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Proof of immunization for tetanus, measles, rubella, mumps, etc., is required.
  • Negative result of TB test is necessary to get admittance in the program.
  • Candidate should be a citizen of United States and a resident of VA.
  • It is mandatory to pass the basic reading and math competency tests.
  • Involvement in any felony or wrong doing may lead to disqualification.

Time Required and Course Fee for CNA Classes in Virginia

CNA Program program usually takes 6-8 weeks to complete the 120 hours of coursework in the state of Virginia. The total hours are sub-divided for clinical program (40 hrs.) and classroom lectures (80 hrs.).
