CNA Program In North Carolina

CNA classes in North Carolina specially train the aspirants to assist nurses and doctors in their day to day work. Certified nurse aide programs provide program and skills that help the potential nursing assistants to record vital signs of the patients, prevent illness and injury in the future, maintain the medical histories of the patient, etc. Before enrolling for a CNA school in NC, one must ensure that it is approved by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. A minimum of 75 hours of program is required to appear for the competency exam in the state of NC.

Pre-requisites for Admittance in CNA Classes North Carolina

Those, who want to pursue nurse aide program, must meet the below given requirements:

  • Candidate must be above 18 years of age.
  • Aspirants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants must never be involved in criminal acts.

Question 1:  Can anybody tell me the eligibility criteria to apply for the NC Back-to-Work Program of the GTCC College in North Carolina?

Answer:  The NC Back-to-Work Program of the GTCC College is available for individuals who have-

  • No more unemployment benefits.
  • Been obtaining unemployment benefits for six or more months.
  • Not been able to find employment.

Question 2:  What is the schedule of nurse aide program in North Carolina and what documents are required while applying for the program program?

Answer:  In North Carolina, you are required to undergo 75 hours of nursing aide program program, which has to be acknowledged by the state. The program program includes classroom and clinical sessions.

You will learn basic nursing skills in classroom sessions including measurement of vital signs, basic anatomy, patient’s right, medical terminologies, emergency procedures and many more. You will have to work under the supervision of RNs in a healthcare setting during your clinical sessions.

Document Requirements:-

  • Fingerprint card and criminal record credential.
  • Certificate which demonstrates real age.
  • A GED or high school diploma.
  • An immunization record.
