Who can apply for CNA exam without training?

The aspirant will be deemed eligible to take the certification exam even without undergoing training, if s/he meets any of the following conditions.

  • If you have active out-of-state training certification.
  • If the student has completed first semester of training program, in the past two years.
  • If you are an experienced nurse, but not working currently because your license has expired.
  • If Utah CNA license has expired, but for not more than 1 year, then you may retake the exam without retaking the entire course.
